Hello, I’m Kimberley!
I'm an Australian media artist, designer and community organizer based in the U.S. I'm a PhD candidate in Emergent Technologies and Media Practices at CU Boulder doing design research on platforms for DIY citizenship. I'm especially interested in shared approaches of participatory art and citizen science and how people repurpose existing media to build cooperative infrastructures for their communities.
I have a BSc in Art & Technology majoring in Educational Entertainment and an MPhil in Curatorial Practice. Prior to academia, I freelanced in videography, graphic design, realtime animation, and audiovisual services. I'm looking to venture into the field of UXR and creating accessible content for education and social platforms.
